Elliot recently replaced all 11 doors in my house, and built some new under-stair cupboards. He said he’d be there at 8am on the Monday, and was on the doorstep at 7.59. After that he worked his way through the house and despite the fact that there isn’t a straight line or right angle in the whole place finished on schedule and to a very high level of quality. Doors that close! Ooooooh! Skilled, thoughtful and tidy it was a pleasure to just give him a set of keys and let him get on with it.

+1 here too. We had a really small job (skimming the bottom of two doors to fit with our new carpet) but Elliot did a good job and as importantly, he was great about getting back to me with dates/times, turned up as agreed and generally made the whole process straightforward.

Elliot has just finished a door frame and door installation. Went the extra mile to deal with tricky space and final touches. Agree with above poster, tidy, efficient and high standard of work. Very happy to recommend.

To echo all of the positive reviews already here. Elliot recently put in some alcove shelves and cupboards, he’s a nice guy and very easy to work with from the outset, took his time to go through the design and totally flexible as I changed things throughout the build. Really pleased with the end result and at a fair and competitive price.

We found Elliot on this forum- and he has done a great job for us. Quick reply to initial enquiry, good job of re fitting our skirting board. Tidy worker. Would highly recommend him.

I also found Elliot from recommendations on the forum and am really pleased with the work he’s done for me. I hired him to lay a concrete base for a new garden shed and he was extremely reliable, polite, turned up on time and did an excellent job, working round my availability to be at home, weather etc etc. I’d recommend him very highly and would definitely contact again for future work.

We’d also like to add our highest recommendation for Elliot. He just completed three sets of bookcases for us. From start to finish, Elliot was not only a delight to work with but the quality of his finished product is outstanding. Elliot visited us three times before installing the bookcases, working with us to achieve exactly what we wanted. Whilst installing the bookcases, he was extremely tidy, leaving the sitting room spotlessly clean. We highly recommend Elliot from Langley Carpentry. He has helped us with our custom fitted Boiler Cupboard with very short notice, and saved us from many more sleepless night as the Boiler was in our Master Bedroom. He was professional, prompt, easy to communicate with and understood our ask. Whilst my wife has sketched the moodboard, he was able to advise what is the best built, length, style and height of the cupboard that will suit our style needs. Just wanted to post another recommendation for Elliot. He did a great job of creating two sets of alcove cabinets in our dining room (with slide out draws for computer keyboards), as well as a wardrobe and shelves in our child’s bedroom.

Elliot has just completed making and installing floating shelves and cabinets in two alcoves in our lounge. His quote was competitive and he has done an excellent job. We wanted integral lighting in the shelving which he helped us with, by linking us with a good electrician. He was punctual, reliable, very tidy and efficient and most importantly the finished work was fantastic. I would highly recommend him, he’s very skilled and a lovely chap to deal with.

I had Elliot round to change a door (we wanted it to open the other way) and to fit a door threshold. He was excellent, arrived on time, seemed to take pride in his work and even returned when he said he would as the original threshold wasn’t suitable for the job. We had new wooden period skirting board fitted through the whole ground floor and a small section on our landing following a new extension. We had to wait a little for his availability but really happy we did. He fitted the boards over 2 days and took plenty of care and attention while working over a new wooden floor and having to work with the limitations of Victorian walls! Really happy with the fitting. Turned up when he said, fixed a few quick things for us at no charge and was very easy to talk to. Really nice guy and already booking him in to do some other bits for us.

Just wanted to add another recommendation for Elliot of Langley Carpentry – cannot recommend highly enough! We are thrilled with our new alcove fittings which he completed last week – incredibly high quality finish, friendly and professional service throughout, always to time, and super clean as he built the shelves at cupboards at his workshop separately and carried out any extra sanding/cutting outside (nothing like the dust cloud I had imagined, there was essentially no mess!?). Same here. I found Elliot through this forum. He has laid engineered wooden flooring, fitted and lacquered skirting boards and replaced locks, handles and hinges on all doors in my flat. Elliot recently fitted an engineered oak floor for us throughout the ground floor of our Victorian terrace which spanned the existing section and a newly built kitchen extension too. He was very happy to advise re choosing types of flooring and associated materials such as underlay / glue etc which was great as there’s such a huge choice of materials, suppliers and prices out there. From a new front door to new skirting boards and kitchen cupboard fixing – all of his work has been completed to a high standard and he is a nice person to have around the house that you can totally trust.
