Another great find in this forum! Elliot has spent quite a few months working at our house, doing everything from book shelves, to a cabinet, to loads of fitted wardrobes and cupboards and even fitting a front door. He has been very reliable, has worked incredibly hard, being tidy and clean and always leaving the place as he found it. He is very approachable and friendly and was very flexible with all our work. I could not recommend him more. His work is beautiful. We are so pleased with everything he has done for us and everyone who sees his work always asks about it. I always felt he went beyond his job and was always happy to help with anything.

To echo all of the positive reviews already here. Elliot recently put in some alcove shelves and cupboards, he’s a nice guy and very easy to work with from the outset, took his time to go through the design and totally flexible as I changed things throughout the build. Really pleased with the end result and at a fair and competitive price.

Elliot is great. He is really lovely, and very keen to ensure you are 100% happy with any work he is doing for you. He’s really reliable, punctual and also v v tidy. He was a pleasure to have in our home. He was great at talking through ideas with me, and very quick to send through a quote too. Whilst fitting some shelves in our wardrobe, he had to paint a small section he wasn’t planning to, so ended up painting that whole side so that it didn’t look out of place. He really takes pride in his work and won’t leave until you are completely happy with what he has done. I’ve had him back since and again, he was great. Quick, tidy and just a genuinely lovely guy.

A huge recommendation comes from me. I found Elliot on here from recommendations which others had posted. We exchanged messages, he came round and then advised me on a selection of places where to source my flooring from. All had sales on so I got to save some money.

His work is outstanding and my new flooring, beading, thresholds and doors look amazing. A really pleasant person, meticulous in his work and very tidy. All finished to a superbly high standard. He arrived when agreed and even helped me find a plumber.

Another recommendation for Elliot. He recently built and painted some alcove shelving in our place and we are extremely happy. Several people have commented on how great they look when coming over. He’s a pleasure to deal with and we’re very happy that we’ve found him. He’s honest, hard working, reasonable and a real perfectionist. We’ve already booked him in for some more work in a few months. We’ve dealt with a lot of tradesman from the forum the last few years as we’ve moved house twice and Elliot was the best we’ve used.

Elliot has just built some alcove units for us after I found his info on this forum. I couldn’t be happier, the shelves and cabinets are beautiful and Elliot was such a pleasure to have in my home. I can recommend him not only for the excellent quality of his work, but he also works quickly and is a lovely guy, very discreet and neat and tidy! Elliot has just fitted a new front door for me and his work was excellent. He was very patient in answering our endless questions and he responded very quickly to any emails and sent through a really clear quote in a timely fashion. I had Elliot round to change a door (we wanted it to open the other way) and to fit a door threshold. He was excellent, arrived on time, seemed to take pride in his work and even returned when he said he would as the original threshold wasn’t suitable for the job. His prices seemed very competitive – I would definitely recommend.

I would also like to recommend Elliot, he came to repair a bannister for me. He was efficient and came round at a time that was convenient for me. Also very competitively priced. Would definitely use him again at the drop of a hat.

Elliot just built a set of fitted wardrobes for us in QRP and has done a fantastic job, delivered exactly to his specifications, in double quick time. He was a pleasure to work with through the whole process, from the site visit when he made a number of recommendations right through to completion. +1 here too. We had a really small job (skimming the bottom of two doors to fit with our new carpet) but Elliot did a good job and as importantly, he was great about getting back to me with dates/times, turned up as agreed and generally made the whole process straightforward.

Elliot has just completed work at our flat – large built in bookcases, floating shelves, cupboards and bay window seat with storage. We had Elliot do some work for us – He changed our rotten UPVC front door for a fantastic Victorian wooden one and did such a great job we are now getting him to do our kitchen – a keeper! Very punctual, trustworthy and was competitively priced – would recommend.

Elliot has done a fantastic job of helping us fix a variety of issues with our new flat. From a new front door to new skirting boards and kitchen cupboard fixing – all of his work has been completed to a high standard and he is a nice person to have around the house that you can totally trust. I have also really valued his qualified opinion on some of the choices to available to us when doing things like replacing the front door which we had an aesthetic opinion on but knew nothing about the practicalities. I haven’t hesitated to recommend Elliot far and wide, his pricing is reasonable and transparent too! Don’t look any further for a great local carpenter.

Elliot has just finished a door frame and door installation. Went the extra mile to deal with tricky space and final touches. Agree with above poster, tidy, efficient and high standard of work. Very happy to recommend.

I’d like to second all the above, we had Elliot come take a look at our house and out of all the tradesmen that quoted for us he was very efficient in communicating, polite, and was fairly priced. He did an excellent job changing two internal doors and laying a small area of decking in our garden. Would recommend to all – you get what you pay for!

I can highly recommend Elliot for carpentry work. I needed some very large, bespoke wardrobes made for my bedroom and a large cupboard built in my kitchen. Same here. I found Elliot through this forum. He has laid engineered wooden flooring, fitted and lacquered skirting boards and replaced locks, handles and hinges on all doors in my flat. He also helped me find painters and plasterers. Very happy with the work, costs are reasonable and made clear upfront. Highly recommended!

I also found Elliot from recommendations on the forum and am really pleased with the work he’s done for me. Just wanted to add my endorsement of Elliot and his work. He put up three strong floating bookshelves in our children’s room last week and did a fantastic job. He’s very punctual, efficient, extremely hardworking,tidy and just nice to have around. One of the things I liked most was how easy he was to communicate with – discussion about the job was very clear, helpful and friendly and he dealt with all questions and anxieties brilliantly. Elliot recently fitted an engineered oak floor for us throughout the ground floor of our Victorian terrace which spanned the existing section and a newly built kitchen extension too. He was very happy to advise re choosing types of flooring and associated materials such as underlay / glue etc which was great as there’s such a huge choice of materials, suppliers and prices out there. He arrived on time and worked long hours to get the job done on time for us. And he was by far the tidiest, most efficient and helpful tradesman we’ve had on site during our refurb. We’re really happy with the finished result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

We highly recommend Elliot from Langley Carpentry. He has helped us with our custom fitted Boiler Cupboard with very short notice, and saved us from many more sleepless night as the Boiler was in our Master Bedroom. He was professional, prompt, easy to communicate with and understood our ask. Whilst my wife has sketched the moodboard, he was able to advise what is the best built, length, style and height of the cupboard that will suit our style needs. Just wanted to post another recommendation for Elliot. He did a great job of creating two sets of alcove cabinets in our dining room (with slide out draws for computer keyboards), as well as a wardrobe and shelves in our child’s bedroom.

We are thrilled with our new alcove fittings which he completed last week – incredibly high quality finish, friendly and professional service throughout, always to time, and super clean as he built the shelves at cupboards at his workshop separately and carried out any extra sanding/cutting outside (nothing like the dust cloud I had imagined, there was essentially no mess!?). We’ve had Elliot from Langley Carpentry at our house for two weeks and in that time he has completed work in the living room, master bedroom and loft. Elliot has just completed making and installing floating shelves and cabinets in two alcoves in our lounge. His quote was competitive and he has done an excellent job. We wanted integral lighting in the shelving which he helped us with, by linking us with a good electrician. We had new wooden period skirting board fitted through the whole ground floor and a small section on our landing following a new extension. We had to wait a little for his availability but really happy we did. He fitted the boards over 2 days and took plenty of care and attention while working over a new wooden floor and having to work with the limitations of Victorian walls! Really happy with the fitting. Turned up when he said, fixed a few quick things for us at no charge and was very easy to talk to. Really nice guy and already booking him in to do some other bits for us.

Just had shelves and cupboards built in the alcoves by Elliot. Really impressed with the quality of work, gave loads of advice on the design, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Elliot recently replaced all 11 doors in my house, and built some new under-stair cupboards. He said he’d be there at 8am on the Monday, and was on the doorstep at 7.59. After that he worked his way through the house and despite the fact that there isn’t a straight line or right angle in the whole place finished on schedule and to a very high level of quality. Doors that close! Ooooooh! Skilled, thoughtful and tidy it was a pleasure to just give him a set of keys and let him get on with it.

We’d also like to recommend Elliot from Langley Carpentry. Elliot transformed the bannisters on our stairs, putting in Edwardian-style spindles (the previous bannister had massive gaps in which weren’t safe for our young children). We found Elliot to be polite, punctual, transparent on pricing and very easy to have in our home while we juggled our day jobs and childcare. We’re really pleased with the finished result.

I totally recommend Elliot from Langley Carpentry. He has just installed a hanging guitar holder, and a large mirror, on the wall of our music room. We’re delighted with the results.
